The recently formed French vocal Ensemble Jachet de Mantoue has been widely acclaimed by the international music press and, with its five founder members all experienced early music singers, it is already considered as being at the "forefront of Renaissance ensembles" (International Record Review, June 2004).

With the imminent release of their latest CD in November 2004 (their 4th since the creation of the ensemble in 2000), the Ensemble has seen its growing discography discerned numerous international awards and recommendations: Goldberg 5 star awards in 2003 and 2004, Orphée d'Or (Paris) for the two consecutive years 2003 and 2004, Choc : Monde de la Musique in 2004, as weil as recommendations in Gramophone and International Record Review in June 2004, and recommendations in musical reviews in Spain, Germany, and Canada.

Specialising in vocal Renaissance music of the period dating from the late 15th century up to late 16th century (and sometimes beyond, for example, in the case of Portuguese and English music), the Ensemble proposes a variety of programmes to suit "sacred" or "secular" requirements, according to the demands of audiences and/or concert venues.
